The AMG SL 65 (R231) runs the Mercedes M277 / M279 6.0T V12 Biturbo engine. Our Stage 1 OTS remap takes it from 630 hp / 1000 Nm to 700 hp / 1150 Nm (+70 hp / +150 Nm), and Stage 2 pushes it to 750 hp / 1200 Nm (+120 hp / +200 Nm).

How flashing works
Every tune is flashed over the OBD port from your phone: plug in the D-Sync D1 Wi-Fi dongle, open the D-Sync app, pick Stage 1 or Stage 2, and flash. No laptop, no bench, no shipping your ECU. Your factory calibration is saved automatically — revert to stock with one tap, anytime.
Stage 1 vs Stage 2 — what each needs
Stage 1 runs entirely on factory hardware — no supporting mods required — and also supports cars with an upgraded intake and improved cooling. Stage 2 requires a high-flow exhaust system; an upgraded intake and improved cooling are recommended alongside it. Each stage ships as two files calibrated separately for AKI 91 and AKI 93 fuel, plus a Stage 0 factory-power baseline — five OTS files per car, matched to your ECU software version after VIN verification in the app. European / Asian fuel grades: 95 RON → use the AKI 91 file; 98 / 100 RON → the AKI 93 file. Neither stage needs a transmission (TCU) tune — both are calibrated to run with the factory TCU.
Included with the OTS Mappack
DTC management during flash — select fault codes to manage right in the app before flashing (intended for closed-course use; vehicles on public roads must comply with local emissions regulations). Exhaust Burble Tuner (AMG models only) — adjustable pops & bangs with 13 in-app controls, included at no extra cost with every OTS Mappack purchase. Live data logging is part of the Flash & Log license. Vehicle coding functions (beta) are free for OTS customers.

Do I need 93 octane for the AMG SL 65 tune?
No. Stage 1 and Stage 2 are each calibrated separately for AKI 91 and AKI 93 fuel, plus a Stage 0 factory-power baseline — five OTS files per car. Pick the file that matches the fuel you actually run.
Can I flash the AMG SL 65 without a laptop or sending the ECU away?

My AMG SL 65 already has a tune from another company — can I still use D-Sync?
Yes. The D-Sync OTS file is flashed directly over whatever is on the ECU now — another company's Stage 1 or an unknown tune the car came with. We also supply the Mercedes factory calibration matched to your ECU software version, so you can return to stock even if the car was already tuned when you bought it.
Do I need a transmission (TCU) tune to run Stage 1 or Stage 2 on the AMG SL 65?
No. Both stages are calibrated to run with the factory TCU; a tuned TCU is a bonus, not a requirement. Flashing the 9-speed VGS-NAG3 TCU is a separate product.
How were these tunes developed and validated?
Each engine family is calibrated on our own development cars, validated on the road and on a Dynojet chassis dyno, and matched to your VIN by ECU software version. After flashing you can record a high-speed log in the app and send it to us for review.
What happens right after the flash?
On the first start after a flash the dash may show ESP or drive-system warnings; they clear after an ignition cycle. Unplug the D1 from the OBD port when you are done — leaving it plugged in can drain the battery on some models.
Will this void my warranty?
Yes — writing calibration data via OBD leaves a timestamp record in the ECU. Mercedes dealerships can see past write events. Many owners simply revert to stock calibration before service visits.
Can I revert to stock?
Yes. Your original factory calibration is always saved. You can flash back to stock with one tap in the D-Sync app, anytime you want.
What is the return policy?
