D-Sync Works flashes Stage 1 / Stage 2 OTS tunes to Mercedes-Benz and AMG cars over the OBD port — no laptop, no bench. The D-Sync app and the D1 Wi-Fi dongle handle flashing, DTC management, the Exhaust Burble Tuner (AMG models), live data logging and Airmatic ride-height control. Your factory calibration is always saved; revert to stock with one tap.
The D-Sync app V2.0 is out now, adding three new OBD write capabilities: M256 Gen 1 OBD direct write (requires Autotuner bench unlock), the Mercedes 9-speed VGS-NAG3 TCU, and CPC NG clone/write/tune (coming soon). TCU Flash License $799 USD including the TCU OTS Tune ($599 USD upgrade price for existing D-Sync OTS Tuning customers), one VIN per license — order by email. Original TCU ASW + CALI files are provided, so third-party tuners can modify and deliver.
V2.0 also introduces the first batch of CODING functions (beta): front & rear exhaust valve deactivation for 4.0T pre-CPC cars (W205 C 63 / GLC 63 7-speed and AMG GT C190), a stationary pops & bangs switch for China-spec C 63, RACE MODE activation for the W205 C 63 via the C 63 S coding set, brake coding for W205 C 63 / C 63 S (steel or CCB carbon-ceramic discs), and precise ESP parameter adjustment matched to brake caliper and material. New in app V2.0.6: ESP190 brake calibration adjustment for the AMG GT (C190); full Variant Coding of the MRG1 (M256) engine control unit; and all-function coding of the DRVU_NG AMG drive unit module — for AMG and non-AMG models with the 9-speed gearbox. New in app V2.0.7: full MED177 engine control unit coding for M157 / M278 engines — on S 63 / CLS 63 / E 63 / ML 63 / GLE 63 / GL 63 / GLS 63 cars that shipped without factory pops & bangs, editing the ECU's SOUNDDESIGN coding activates the factory dynamic pops & bangs (a D-Sync ECU tune is still needed to intensify the effect). CODING functions are free for OTS customers — any active OTS license on the account unlocks unlimited use. All coding functions.

ECU tuning modifies your car's engine computer to optimize performance. Think of it as a software update for your engine — more horsepower, better throttle response, and smoother power delivery.
A Stage 0 factory-power baseline, plus Stage 1 and Stage 2 files each calibrated separately for AKI 91 and AKI 93 fuel — five OTS files per car. On top of that, the Exhaust Burble Tuner (AMG models, included free) and DTC management are independent controls in the app, not tied to any specific map. The exact file list is matched to your ECU software version and appears in the app after VIN verification.
Yes — writing calibration data via OBD leaves a timestamp record in the ECU. Mercedes dealerships can see past write events. Many owners simply revert to stock calibration before service visits.
Yes. Your original factory calibration is always saved. You can flash back to stock with one tap in the D-Sync app, anytime you want.
You must use our proprietary D-Sync D1 adapter for every feature on the platform — ECU flashing, data logging, diagnostics, and Airmatic adjustment all run through the D1, with Map Switching and a UDS command terminal planned for future updates. Third-party dongles (ELM327 and similar) are not supported. The D1 connects over Wi-Fi and pairs with the D-Sync app directly; one dongle works across every product line we offer.
Yes. Mercedes ECUs have a built-in write counter that allows approximately 100 flash cycles. Once this limit is reached, the ECU will reject further writes via OBD. This counter can only be reset using bench-level tools.
Yes. D-Sync's OTS library does not cover Stage 3 / Stage 4 calibrations directly, but you can invite any third-party tuner to deliver a custom tune to you through the D-Sync platform — the delivery process is completely free of charge. The platform supports writing to the entire calibration region, so there are no artificial limits on what a tuner can modify.
No. The D-Sync app corrects the checksums of every file automatically as part of the flash — OTS maps, tuner-delivered files, and your own edited calibration alike. There is no separate checksum step and no third-party tool needed. This applies to every ECU the app can write to.
Email duke@yd-autogroup.com with your business name and a short introduction. Once verified, you can upload custom calibrations for your clients. We handle encryption and secure delivery.
No. Airmatic Adjust is a completely independent add-on module. It runs on its own license and its own credit bucket, with no dependency on Flash & Log or OTS Mappack. You can buy Airmatic without ever flashing your ECU, and buying Airmatic does not affect your engine calibration. You will need a car equipped with factory Mercedes-Benz Airmatic hardware — verified chassis: GLE 63 / 63 S (W167), S-Class W222 2013–2020, and E-Class W213 2016–2024.
Mercedes AMG engines are built with significant hardware headroom from the factory. Our tunes are developed within well-understood margins, using mature calibration strategies proven across hundreds of vehicles. All factory safety parameters — knock protection, thermal limits, limp mode triggers — are preserved. Each tune is matched to your exact ECU hardware and software version, so there is zero risk of flashing an incompatible file.
The D-Sync D1 Wi-Fi OBD dongle, a Flash & Log license and an OTS Mappack license for one VIN, and the Mercedes factory calibration matched to your ECU software version. The Mappack contains all five OTS files — the Stage 0 factory baseline plus Stage 1 and Stage 2, each for AKI 91 and AKI 93 fuel — so there is nothing to choose at checkout. The Exhaust Burble Tuner (AMG models) and DTC management come with it at no extra cost, and VIN binding and ECU verification in the app are free.
Stage 1 runs entirely on factory hardware — no supporting mods required — and also supports cars with an upgraded intake and improved cooling. Stage 2 requires a high-flow exhaust system; an upgraded intake and improved cooling are recommended alongside it. Both are flashed over OBD from your phone, and you can switch between them or return to stock at any time.
Our files are labelled by the North American AKI scale. 95 RON corresponds to the AKI 91 file; 98 or 100 RON corresponds to the AKI 93 file. After activation the app shows which file matches your car.
No. Both stages are calibrated to run with the factory TCU; a tuned TCU is a bonus, not a requirement. Flashing the Mercedes 9-speed VGS-NAG3 TCU is available as a separate product.
Yes. The D-Sync OTS file is flashed directly over whatever is on the ECU now — another company's Stage 1 or an unknown tune the car came with. We also supply the Mercedes factory calibration matched to your ECU software version, so you can return to stock even if the car was already tuned when you bought it.
No. D-Sync flashes the engine ECU only. On M177 / M178 and M276 cars the OTS files are designed to run with or without an unlocked CPC — a factory CPC works as-is, and cars that already have a third-party unlocked CPC are compatible too.
Email your VIN to duke@yd-autogroup.com — we check your ECU software version first and usually reply within one business day. US and Canadian customers can check out online or pay by PayPal (Canada also by Interac e-Transfer); EU, UK, Australian and other supported-region customers receive a PayPal invoice, which PayPal converts to your currency automatically. Everything ships from Ontario, Canada by UPS or Canada Post with free standard shipping to supported regions; an express upgrade is available on request, and any import duties are the recipient's responsibility. After payment you register on d-syncworks.com, we activate the license on your VIN and send tracking, usually within one business day.
On the first start after a flash the dash may show ESP or drive-system warnings; they clear after an ignition cycle. When you are done, unplug the D1 from the OBD port — leaving it plugged in can drain the battery on some models. If anything looks off, record a high-speed log in the app and send it to us for review.
D-Sync allows returns within 14 days of purchase, provided the License has not yet been activated. If you change your mind within the return window and your License remains unused, contact duke@yd-autogroup.com with your order information and we will process the refund. Sometimes customers believe a D-Sync product is faulty when the actual issue is weak internet reception, an unrelated fault on the vehicle, or a first-time setup question. Before assuming your D1 Dongle or License is defective, please email duke@yd-autogroup.com first — every unit is tested before shipping and we can usually resolve initial issues remotely. If the D1 Dongle is confirmed faulty, the customer will be offered a replacement. If a refund is issued due to confirmed faulty goods, we will not deduct shipping fees or payment processor fees from the refund. For non-faulty returns, only the value of the D-Sync License and/or D1 Dongle will be refunded — not the shipping cost (whether shipping was free / included or not) or any payment processor fees we do not recover. Refunds will not be issued under any of the following conditions: • The License has already been activated and bound to a VIN or account. • The vehicle the License is bound to has been totalled, written off, or sold to someone else. • The refund request is submitted more than 14 days after the date of purchase. • The request comes from a third party rather than the direct purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for every refund request. Only the direct customer of record may be refunded — not a third party.
